A walk to the beach from Kamakura Station takes about 10 minutes. And once you arrive, there's a lot to see and do. The beach is shaped like a horseshoe. On the far left is Zaimokuza Beach--the best place for windsurfing and for viewing Mt. Fuji. In the middle of the horseshoe is Yuigahama Beach, where most people hang out in summer. The far right beach, Hase Beach is quiet and calm and a great place to just chill out and enjoy the blue water, blue sky and sand on your feet. There are also a lot of fishing boats and fishing gear--equally fascinating and beautiful!

Strolling the Beaches in Kamakura
Any time of the day; Any season of the year

The beach sometimes has a wild feel to it, especially after a storm.
There is surfing here, but the waves aren't really that big.
If the timing is right, you'll catch a gorgeous sunset.
Dusk--my favorite time of the day.
The fishing boats and gear lend to its charm.
Red netting hanging out to dry.
The fishing gear can sometimes be very beautiful.
Sometimes the simplest things in life give us the most pleasure.
A perfect combination of clouds, sky, and Mt. Fuji.
No waves today? No problem! Enjoy the sunset instead.
All kinds of interesting stuff comes in with the tides.
