A raised bank between two rivers near Keihan Yawata Station is the best place I have been to see cherry blossom so far. I know I think that because everything about that day was perfect - the weather, the company, the picnic food, and the beautiful, beautiful cherry blossom at the peak of loveliness. Even if you are not as lucky as me, the 1.4 km double row of cherry trees planted along top of the bank is a wonderful sight.

Kansai ben, I noticed your play on words! Is it Kansai Benjamin or Kansai ben the dialect? It is near Keihan Yawata Station. Hope to get some Kyoto dialect from you this Spring time!

Lovely article. Which station is the closest, and is it easy to find?
Thanks.
